A.C. (AJ) Jones was born and raised in South Memphis, where the streets gave him an early education in survival, struggle, and the power of the hustle. Raised by praying parents and persistent grandparents, he was pulled between two worlds—one built on love, the other on survival. For a time, the streets won.
But Jones didn’t stay where he started.
After run-ins with the law and brushes with chaos, he walked away from the only life he’d ever known. Now a decorated firefighter paramedic, business owner, husband, and father of four, he holds degrees from Valdosta State and Columbia Southern University. His story is one of reinvention—and his pen reflects it.
